Context

From the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7). Jesus has just told his listeners not to worry about food, drink, or clothing, pointing to the birds and the wildflowers that God cares for (6:25–32). Instead of worrying, they are to make God's kingdom their first priority.
